Neil Dundee, from Frederick to S Africa
Neil Dundee spent a month in South Africa recently learning about the harvest, fermentation, testing, tasting, marketing and sale of wines at a little winery called De Toren. He’s taken that knowledge and used it to bridge the gap between winemaker and his role as beverage director at Volt.

Neil’s a bit of a scamp–styling himself “Neil MF Dundee” as an example. He definitely knows his wines, though, and there are few other people in Frederick who I’d trust as well to guide me through a wine list.
